Sales of MacBook laptops will reach 15 million copies this year. This will facilitate the launch of new MacBook Pro models.
According to the forecasts of sources, MacBook shipments in 2017 will grow by 10% compared to 2016 and totaled about 15 million. From MacBook sales growth will benefit not only Apple, but and its manufacturing partners and suppliers such as Quanta Computer, Shin Zu Shing (SZS), Auras, and Wistron.
Market observers say that Apple will lower the price of the 13-inch MacBook Pro without touch Touch Bar panel, which will be positioned as a replacement for the 13-inch MacBook Air, and should help the company to increase the total volume of notebook shipments. At the beginning of the second quarter 2017 Apple will introduce a new 12-inch model of the MacBook, which will receive up to 16 GB of RAM. Mass production of the new 13- and 15-inch MacBook Pro based on Intel Kaby Lake processors will start at the beginning of the third quarter, and the 15-inch MacBook Pro with 32 GB of RAM will go into production at the beginning of the fourth quarter of 2017. The exact specifications of the new MacBook Pro are not yet known.
