We already reported that in 2007 the portion of intel processors with four core will not exceed 3%. Actually, to design for popularity is complicated with the cost of such processors from $851 to $999. But when will appear more accessible intel processors with four core? many hopes that with 0.045 m processors from families penryn and Nehalem such cpu will be more accessible.

With light blue color was marked processors with four and more . With the passage to 0.045 m technical process they occupy entire extreme segment, which is completely regular. Furthermore, in 2008 such processors will appear also in the price segment, at present covered with the processors of series core 2 Duo, i.e., from $183 to $530. In other words, processors with four core by cost not more than $500 must appear in 2008.

To stimulate Intel to such step there will be not only the developers of software, which by that time will begin more actively to optimize its applications under the polynuclear configurations, but also the AMD company , which will release four core processors athlon 64 X4 (Altair) already in the third quarter of 2007.
