Dynamic solutions international (DSI) company presented a new product : DSI3020, a solid-disk in the form of expansion card, designed for installation in PCI express slot. The basic application field of DSI3020 must become servers, but it can be used also in desktop PC or work station. The SSD volume is 450 GB, its cost is clearly higher than usual disk of personal computer. However, the difference in price is justified by the speed increase . According to the estimation of producer, DSI3020 substantially exceeds not only HDD, but also SSD, connected with the aid of other interfaces. As asserts DSI, the difference in speed between the expansion card and such SSD reaches from two to five times. Concerning the absolute values, they are : reading speed reaches 700 MB/s, writing - 500 MB/s, the quantity of operation input-output per second in the writing regime - from 50000 (kept balance) to 140000 (peak). | ||
