Intel company already attempted to draw the attention of community with future 45 nm processors generation penryn, after describing about their special features and approximate speed level . Let us recall that 45 nm processors penryn will become the slightly optimized conroe successors , it will not bring any special architectural update. As is known, yesterday in Peking started spring session IDF 2007, and we was able to get the missing details about these processors. First, there is updated data about the speed of four core processors yorkfield in comparison with present four core processors kentsfield. The model 45 nm processor yorkfield with 2 X 6 mb cache in the second level ( 1333 MHz by system bus)  operated at 3.33 GHz frequency , was compared with Core 2 Extreme QX6800 (2.93 GHz), working at 10666 MHZ  system bus  frequency  and with 2 X 4 mb cache in the second level. Here is the observed result: Image processing Applications - > Yorkfield faster  by 15%; Three-dimensional Applications- rendering - > Yorkfield faster by 25%; Games - > Yorkfield faster by 40%; Video coding Applications -> yorkfield faster by more than to 40% (with SSE4 ). From the entire collection of SSE4 commands , penryn processors will support 47 pieces, rest " will be inculcated in future processors ". The support to 1600 MHz system bus will obtain only servers representatives of generation penryn, in desktop segment all processor will be limited to 1333 MHz system bus. As we already reported, the four core processor (desktop) intel processors will get the support to 1333 MHz system bus with 65 nm technical process, and with passage on 45 nm , the core yorkfield will become the customary attribute of such processors. The penryn processors models work in motherboard intel badAxe2 on base of chipset intel i975X; however, in this case the power system was updated . Only motherboard on base of chipsets generation bearlake will guarantee general support to penryn . To the end of 2007 intel company  will present an alternative platform Of quad FX from AMD.
