Last week ASUS company presented the video card ARES II.  ASUS graphics card is placed in a metalic case.   ARES II has a hybrid cooling system. The graphics card occupies the space of two expansion slots . Duo GPU is cooled by single-section radiator which is blown with two 120-mm fans.  Curiously, the video card has three rear reinforcement plate. ASUS claims that this whole layered sandwich is much more effective than reference cooling system in the graphics card GeForce GTX 690. PCB ARES II can be divided into two zones, each has a processor Tahiti XT2, chipset memory GDDR5 from SK Hynix production, 8 voltage regulator module and two-phase GPU - memory. Communication between GPUs are by switch PLX PEX8747.  Video output just six:  Base frequency of each GPU is 1050 MHz, in the dynamic overclock value increases up to 1100 MHz. The memory runs at 1650 MHz, which corresponds to the effective frequency 6600 MHz. ARES II price will start at $ 1,200. Related Products : | ||
