As in the production of any semiconductor , the release of memory microcircuits change from one technical processes to other. Passage to more thin technological standards allow not only to reduce the memory production prime cost , but also to increase its density. Elpida company mastered the 70 nm technical process during December last year, only some time ago hynix company reported about the mastery of 60 nm technical process . Now came the turn Of elpida to state about the passage with the following technological process. Today Elpida reported about the successful passage on 65 nm .
Elpida is assembled to master the production of memory microcircuits with 65 nm technical process in the present financial year . In proportion to the growth in production volumes of 65 nm memory microcircuits rexchip will collaborate with elpida to reach better result.
We hope that this new technological process will allow to reduce the prices on capacious memory modules ( DDR-2 and DDR- 3 ). However, the difference between 70 nm and 60 nm technical processes is not so great in order to speak about essential gain in the prime cost.
