We already reported that NVIDIA decided to increase the number of video chip in SLI regime . In other words, Nvidia decided to increase the video card number from two to three video card. Associates reported that the support of triple SLI will first appear in chipset NVIDIA C72 and C73, which will be announced in the fourth quarter in this year. These chipsets will support intel processors , moreover they guaranties overclock in the system bus frequency to 1600 MHz and compatibility with DDR 3-1600 memory . Video card will work in these chipsets using PCI express 2.0 interface . Let us note that the chipsets c72 and C73 version XE will support three slots PCI express x16 . This will allow to realize the triple SLI support . Most likely NVIDIA, in the fourth quarter simply will have time to bring triple SLI support in the drivers level . It is possible that following C72/c73 the support of this regime will be added in other NVIDIA chipsets . | ||
