AMD has kept the promise to begin the deliveries of processors Seattle with 64-bit ARM architecture before the end of this year. The specifics of these processors application is limited by the server segment.
AMD has demonstrated at the event samples of motherboards and processors Seattle ready for server solutions in the form of products SoftIron Overdrive 3000, which were presented as early as September this year.
Processors Opteron A1100 offer eight cores with the architecture of ARM Cortex-A57, maintained in the system to register two memory modules of DDR3 total volume of 16 GB. The server provides eight SATA 3.0 ports and two 10Gbps Ethernet. PCI Express connectors can operate according to the formula "x8 x 1" or "x4 + x4". The server is equipped with one hard drive 1TB.
AMD Guide recently annouced it that the ARM-architecture is not a priority in the development of server processors, and serves as a supplement for x86-compatible solutions. Obviously, now it's limited resources thrown at developing AMD Zen processor architecture . Related Products :
