This week, Qualcomm received by the European antitrust authorities just two complaints about unfair competition. The first says that Qualcomm paid to one of its customers, so that it did not use solutions from other manufacturers. Another accuses Qualcomm's chip sales below cost to drive out a competitor in the face of Icera market.
The claims of the European Commission are not the final verdict, but if this is proved, the company will have to pay a huge fine. Qualcomm should Reply authorities over the coming months
Recall that at the beginning of this year, a Chinese court found Qualcomm guilty of violating local laws and ordered it to pay a fine of nearly one billion dollars.
