There is a growing and expanding distribution of memory NAND TLC . Micron company has proposed SSD M600 series memory array type MLC. Before filling half the size of drive, memory cells are in a state of pseudo SLC (with one-bit cell). This greatly speeds up the SSD and at the same time increases the resistance of cells . After filling the SSD at half capacity, the cells go into a natural mode NAND MLC.
The dual-mode server NAND-flash memory Micron received the commercial name FortisFlash. The first such memory in their arrays for data storage has become used by IBM. Memory FortisFlash, as claimed by Micron, it allow to increase the wear resistance of cells without compromising performance. In the past, the server segment of the company Micron offer so-called memory eMLC (MLC enterprise-class). To increase the service life of eMLC had to sacrifice performance.
