AMD recently expressed its readiness to demonstrate the working samples of 45 nm processors already in next year (January). Deliveries are scheduled in the second half. IBM Company, for a long-time is AMD technological contributor , this week also spoke about its plans to introduce high-k COLD transistors and metal closure within 45 nm and 32 nm technical process . IBM partners will have access to 32 nm technology in the second half of 2009. The agreement on cooperation between the companies (AMD and IBM) was extended to 2011. Within 45 nm technological process both company decided to use materials with high dielectric constants (high-k) and transistors with a metal shutter . The release Level of suitable chips on 45 nm technology is quite good for AMD. By the Production of 45 nm processors will be occupied the Fab 36. Regarding the 32 nm , the memory cell samples will be available soon in Dresden factory AMD Fab 36. Manufactured on the same processor technology will be used high-k dielectrics and transistors with a metal closure. Serial 32 nm AMD processors should appear in 2010. | ||
