Recenlty such processor were available For example, the processor athlon X2 of 6400+ Black edition combined the 3.2 GHz frequency and 2 X 1 mb cache in the second level, it was released on 90 nm technology. New technical process in the black edition family was presented by the processor athlon X2 5000+ with 2.6 GHz frequency and 2 X 512 KB cache in the second level. After prices reduction AMD company decided to remove the black edition versions, and now processors with free multiplier are encountered only in phenom X4 family . But now a new processor class black edition recently appeared. In one popular American Internet- store for $89 it is possible to purchase the Athlon X2 5400+ Black edition ( box ). This Processor operates at 2.8 GHz frequency , it has 2 X 512 KB cache in the second level, cooler in the delivery set is not provided. According to the marking ADO5400DSWOF, this processor is based on G2 stepping brisbane core . Which is characteristic, TDP level does not exceed 65 W - for dual core processor with 2.8 GHz frequency this is already good. Most likely, the wholesale cost of this processor model is equal to $87, as in case of Athlon X2 5400+ (2.8 GHz), possessing the limited multipliwer. | ||
