Hard disks for mobile computers always was inferior to their desktop fellows in term of  rotation speed - such are the power energy requirements , which have enormous value with work in notebook. Models number consists in hard drive by volume : 80, 100, 120 and 160 Gb. These hard disks use just two magnetic disk with technology perpendicular record. Another important special feature of hard disks seagate momentus 7200.2 : the possibility of equipment with the sensor of free drop, which allow to prevent failure of system disk as a result drop in notebook. As soon as sensor intersects acceleration, equal or exceeds 9,8 meters per second in second, heads they are transferred in cover position, decreasing thus the risk of the damage for heads and magnetic disk. In the non-operating state the hard disks of this series are capable of maintaining loads up to 900 G, in operating state they maintain loads up to 250-350 G. the energy consumption of hard disks momentus 7200.2 does not exceed 2.1 W.
