According to seagate technology company , which presented the first 320- GB HDD for mobile computers (7200 rpm ), this hard disk is already used in dell XPS notebooks . Furthermore, seagate momentus 7200.3 will soon become the part of some notebook alienware. Momentus 7200.3 is characterized by small energy consumption and drop protection . Besides the version with capacity 320 GB , This disk will be accessible the different capacity: 80, 120, 160 and 250 GB. The device is made on 2,5- inch standard size, equipped with SATA interface (3,0 Gbit/s) and with 16 MB cache. According to seagate company, this derives a leading position on performance. G -Force protection is based on sensor : heads are parked if the sensor check a beginning of drop. The sensitivity of sensor can react to drops from 20 cm. | ||
