In late May last year, Seagate introduced the drive Momentus XT , which become the combining of classic HDD and flash memory SLC NAND. Succesor of the original model retained the old name, but got a number of improvements that make the new generation Momentus XT much more interesting .  The hard disk was expanded from 500 to 750 GB , the built-in flash memory doubled, up to 8 GB. SATA 3Gb / s was updated with modern SATA 6 Gb / s, but the cache remains as before 32 MB. The algorithms of controller, which combines the advantages of HDD and SSD remained the same , Adaptive Memory: chip determines the most frequently used data and stores them in a solid-state memory. Deliveries of the new generation Momentus XT already begun, drive will cost $ 245. Related Products : | ||
