The presented recently cooling system with phase transition : xpressar RCS100 from thermaltake company for sure interested many. First, this is one of the few cooling systems (type) released in series . The integrated cooling system does not require maintenance. Moreover, it promises to reduce the processor temperature by 20 degree Celsius in comparison with water cooling systems, and in this case to avoid condensation.
Now we have to talk about the effectiveness of this system, noise level and its cost. This thermaltake product will be released in limited quantities for the recommended price $799.
As we already mentioned, Xpressar RCS100 in terms of principle do not differs from the everyday or automobile conditioner, simply in its tasks enters the central processor cooling, but not the ambient air. System will not require maintenance for 5-10 years, but it is recommended to clean the radiator periodically .
The controller helps to avoid condensation, just like the sufficiently high operating temperature - by default it is held in the limits 15-18 degree Celsius.
This cooling system could cool to 50 degree Celsius the processor core 2 Duo on 45 nm wolfdale, overclocked to the frequency 4.05 GHz. We deal here about the operating mode at 100% load during 20 minutes.
Thermaltake representative promised that the following xpressar version will be sold separately from the case , and placed in three free sections standard size 5.25 inches . This system will be able to cool not only different processors types , but the video chip . Naturally, compatibility with motherboards will be improved . The new xpressar model will be shown during January 2009 on CES exhibition in Las Vegas. Related Products :
