As we reported in the middle of the month, Microsoft Windows company released an update , designed to improve the performance of systems on CPUs AMD FX (Bulldozer). The task of patches for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2, was to use the technology Simultaneous Multithreading (SMT), used in CPUs AMD FX.
Interestingly, the developer of the OS soon removed the update from own site. According to our colleagues, the update was unplanned or premature.
A full upgrade, optimizing the performance of AMD Bulldozer running Windows is scheduled for the first quarter 2012.
