The new system bus overclock records were achieved with the aid of two motherboards: Asus P5K3 deluxe (645.9 MHz) and Gigabyte GA -P35T-Dq6 (649.99 MHz). Let us recall that previous overclock record with core 2 Duo on system bus was 647.83 MHz, it was achieved with the aid of motherboard asus P5B deluxe (Intel p965) and processor core 2 Duo e6320 (1.86 GHz), the system was dry ice cooled .
In the new overclock records besides motherboard gigabyte GA -P35T-Dq6 ( on base of chipset intel p35 ) figured the processor core 2 Duo e6850 (3.0 GHz) stepping E0.
Yesterday also appeared the overclock record with DDR 3-1066 memory (micron chips) in the single-channel regime - the corresponding module was overclocked to regime DDR 3-2200 with latency value 10 10 10-24. However, today similar initiative was from asus company . The motherboard asus P5K3 deluxe allowed to overclock the DDR 3-1066 module to the regime DDR 3-2222 with latency value 10 10 10-34.
In this case also , asus used memory chips from micron production .
Let us note that new chipset intel p35 allow to overclock more the DDR-2 memory . For example, DDR 2-800 modules on micron chips using the motherboard gigabyte GA -P35C-DS3r succeeded to overclock up to DDR 2-1513 in single-channel regime and to DDR 2-1475 in dual-channel configuration.
