Sumitomo company produced prototypes of optical cables with Thunderbolt in April 2012, and only recently received approval for production of serial products of this type.  Although the maximum speed of information has remained the same (10 Gbit / s), the maximum cable length is increased from 3 to 30 m .  Cable diameter for the outer shell remained the same (4.2 mm), optical cable can be bent at an angle of 180 degrees, the connector case increased in length from 28 to 38 mm.  Obviously, soon  optic Thunderbolt will be available.   Related Products :
