Intel company decided to begin the passage on 32 nm technology from the dual core processors in LGA 1156 - on the appropriate technical process will be released their computational part, and the north bridge with the integrated graphic core will be released on the previous 45 nm technology.
Associate published information about other 32 nm Intel processors, which will be presented in the next two years. First we note that six-core processors gulftown LGA 1366 will appear during May 2010, they can work in the existing motherboard on base of Intel x58 chipset.
Associates also published the photograph of one of the first models four core 32 nm processors with sandy bridge architecture. The announcement of such processors is planned in 2011, the company will compose processors with analogous architecture and core quantity from two to eight. These four core processors will obtain dual-channel memory controller with DDR 3-1600 support and graphic core with directX 11 support.
Each of four cores in this processor will obtain 256 KB cache in the second level, and the cache in the third level with 8 mb volume will be divided. Graphic cores will also obtain access to the cache in the third level. With the crystal area 225 sq. mm the processor will have a TDP level not more than 85 W. Default frequencies can lie in the range from 2.8 to 3.4 GHz. Possibly, these processors will preserve the design concept LGA 1156. Related Products :
