In Hanover at CeBIT 2013, Intel introduced a new technology called DAAS (Display as a Service). The decision breaks the rigid connection between the video source and the screen, as well as the virtualization engine is separated from the processor operating system.
With DAAS users can transfer to the big TV screen interface image, broadcast a single image on multiple screens and even merge separate displays into one large virtual screen.
DAAS do not require a wired connection - the connection between the devices can be achieved by wireless interfaces. Intel also showed special hardware solution needed to easily connect displays.
During the presentation, Intel has paid attention to the upcoming processors, showing convertible code-named North Cape. Unit size 13.3 inches with detachable keyboard is based on the latest Haswell CPU and a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, with two ports USB 3.0, mini-HDMI port, and Displayport.
