First appearance on the market of DDR4 memory computer, expected in late 2012. Meanwhile, finishing DDR4 specification approved only in September 2012 .
First, the personal computer market began to decline. At the same time, oddly enough, memory prices have stabilized and in some places went up. This was facilitated by a reduction in the number of producers (minus Elpida company ), and translation of the normal production of DRAM-memory on its mobile versions in the face of modern LPDDR3. All this may delay a part of production facilities, leaving no room for expansion of DDR4 production.
Active producer of memory chips note the lack of support for DDR4-based chipsets, and, of course, the appropriate motherboard. According to rumors, the first DDR4 support will be implemented in processors generation Intel Haswell-EX, which hardly happen until next year.
It turns out that any appreciable amount of DDR4 memory modules will be no earlier than 2015, but not later than 2016.
